In the Czech Republic was a whole lot of times, so much, that I do not know how many, but imagine, that he never ate these rolls. And yet, is a traditional Czech pastry. Very popular and very popular. Cake is done in many ways and with different additives, both sweet and savory. I propose today sweet cakes. Delicious! With cottage cheese, poppy seeds and plum jam. Once you have the taste prosu! And tomorrow I am going for a weekend in Prague, So try to savor the delicacies on the spot:). The recipe comes from the book "Baking cakes'.
Ingredients for approximately 20 pieces:
- 500g flour
- 30g of fresh yeast
- 1/4liters of milk
- 100g butter
- 80g of sugar
- 2 eggs
- pinch of salt
Sift flour into a bowl, make a hole, Pour the crushed yeast , overwhelm 3 spoons of sugar and pour half of warm milk. Mix lightly with flour so, in order to create consistency of thick cream. Allow to stand for 15 – 20 minutes. When the solution moves, add butter dissolved in milk, the rest of the sugar and salt. Knead smooth and elastic dough. Cover and let stand for 1,5 – 2 hours in a warm place to rise.
In the meantime prepare the filling.
Cheese mass:
- 500g curd (I used wiaderkowego 'My Favorite')
- 160g of sugar
- 2 yolk
- 2 egg whites
- 1 tablespoon of potato flour
- 1 tablespoon dark rum
Whip cream cheese with yolk, sugar, potato flour and rum. The egg white beat stiff and gently add to the cheese.
Poppy mass:
- 250g ground poppy (I bought ready-ground poppy seeds)
- 80g of sugar
- 1 tablespoon breadcrumbs
- 1/4liters of milk
Additionally:
- 200g plum jam
Ground poppy seeds mixed with sugar and breadcrumbs, Pour milk. Boil and cool.
Divide the dough into 20 portions (approximately 50g each). With each piece of the ball and then form a flat cake with a thicker edge. The banks spread rozmąconym yolk. Break down in the hollow portions alternately filled with cottage cheese and poppy, in the middle of a jam. Leave for 10 minutes until puffed up.
Bake at 200 ° C for 20 – 25 minutes. Remove and cool on a wire rack.
Enjoy!

Hi,
Pozdrawiam serdecznie i życze samych udanych wypieków!
Kołacz to jest po prostu inaczej bułka drożdżowa robiona na przeróżne sposoby. Więc trudno tu mówić o podobieństwach. Te bułeczki są godne polecenia, jak i sama książka, z której korzystałam.
Regards!
cheese and poppy far too much for the portions of dough. used up only half. I added in addition to the poppy honey and lemon zest and orange. came out delicious 😉
Fact, I was also a little, but not so much. Maybe more overlap. I'm glad, the buns tasted.
What bezalkocholowym can be replaced by rum?
You can replace it with a few drops of essential oil or omit rum.
I, that knocks you in a more advanced version 😉 pychota!
