Pudding cake with cream and strawberries

I do not like cakes with jelly. Maybe not so much for cakes, at the same jelly. Something in her is of a consistency, that I simply do not correspond. This is my own recipe.

Ciasto z kremem budyniowym i truskawkami / Sponge cake with pudding and strawberries

Ingredients for the sponge:

  • 3 eggs
  • half a cup of caster sugar
  • half a cup of plain flour
  • 2 heaped tablespoons of potato flour

Cream pudding:

  • 2 eggs

  • teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 70g very soft butter

Additionally:

  • strawberries (for me came about 250g, but can be arranged more densely)
  • heavy cream for garnishing, you can skip (slaughtered 250g, less because of my robot has a problem, but can be utilized to strawberries:) )
  • strawberry jelly

Prepare jelly according to instructions on the package. Set aside to cool.

Boil a glass of milk with sugar and vanilla extract. The remaining milk, mix with eggs and flours. Pour the boiling milk and cook, stirring constantly pudding. Cool. Beat the soft butter in a fluff, added to a cold pudding and mix until smooth.

Sponge again put in the cake tin. The cream put wystudzony sponge pudding and align. The pudding sort out and washed strawberries in half lengthwise. When the jelly begins to harden ( for me it lasted for centuries) pour her strawberries. Put into the refrigerator to completely solidify.

I did, very good. Just sponge cake does not come out to me as I'd like. Such dry and dense, but it was the beginning of my baking, so you do not have to be perfect.

I enter here specifically to be proud of, that on Saturday I did this cake and it worked sensationally. It was so nice, I made that up pictures of him 🙂 And you need to add, not bake cakes very often – actually, so far almost no baked. I made with peaches and peach jelly, was OK, truskawakami but it is certainly much better. Waiting for the season for strawberries.

I was looking for just the recipe for the dough and your Valentine to my liking (As for the appearance). My only question is whether you can just cook plain pudding and pour over the sponge cake, and then add the jelly, if, however, not very?

If I can do something, Asiu, I always give less water than the package, so somewhere 400 – 450 ml. I intercede with jelly pot to the sink with cold water. Then the jelly freezes faster and have much better control over it than to keep it in the refrigerator. And if too much froze, then it heat up slightly 🙂
