Some time ago I bought spelled flour. And although I've seen a lot of different pastries with its added, somehow she never did I used. Up to now. Cake with spelled flour has a slightly different structure than the wheat flour, but it is equally delicious. And although it is heavier than plain flour, This dough is soft and fluffy. I certainly do not find time for her use. Today's cake was spotted in Izy and highly recommend them!!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup whole grain spelled flour (for me the type of 1100)
  • 1 cup flour
  • 5 eggs (separate the yolk and the egg white)
  • 1 small cup of sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 125g butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 5 tablespoons buttermilk
  • fruits – ca. 1/2 kg (in my mix of forest fruits)

Beat egg whites until stiff.

Spelled flour, wheat flour, baking powder and salt, mix together.

Mix the butter with the sugar and fluffy. We are constantly mixing add one yolk. Then add the mixed dry ingredients. Finally, add the buttermilk and vanilla essence. Thoroughly mix the. The resulting mass slaughter of egg white added and gently mix together.

Baking mold with dimensions of 25×25 cm baking parchment paper and pour into the cake. On top put fruit.

Bake at 170 ° C for about 45 minutes or so. dry stick. Remove cake and cool. Przestudzone sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Can you replace butter in this recipe with vegetable oil?

Cake looks delectable. I recently even made yeast dough for spelled flour and it worked great.
I like full of fruit cake. Summer is slowly ending, so you need to enjoy the fruits of, while we still have a choice 🙂
