I've always liked cake with apples. Most probably the smell go through the house, when the dough is baked. Tenderness and flavor of cinnamon pastry making, that want to reach for the next and the next song. A to, that some associate with autumn? Well, Spring is the time, when the rain and cloudy days is also not lacking.

To improve mood – I recommend! The provision of the old notes, my mother.

Ingredients:Szarlotka - jabłecznik francuski

  • 1/2 kg of wheat flour
  • 200g of cold, chopped butter
  • 2 yolk (not too big)
  • 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup thick cream (I used 18%)
  • 1 tablespoon of vinegar
  • 35g lard
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • package of vanilla sugar (16g)

Mix the flour with the baking powder. Add fat and chop together. Add the remaining ingredients and knead the dough. Divide in half. One part of the stick on 1.5 -2 hours in the refrigerator, second in the freezer.

During this time, prepare the apple mass.

The mass of the apple:

  • ca. 1,5 – 2kg of apples
  • 4 tablespoons granulated sugar (depending on the apples you can add more or less)
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon

Peel the apples, remove seeds and grate on the coarse mesh. Add the sugar, cinnamon and mix.

Remove the dough from the refrigerator. The form of the lower size 28x22cm baking parchment paper. In the bottom of the form, press the dough, align and fork ponakłuwać. Broil at 180 ° C for about. 15 minutes.
Sprinkle dough evenly Podpieczone ok. 4 tablespoons of bread crumbs, put apples, align. Wipe the top of the second half of the dough (this from the freezer).

Bake at 180 ° C for about. 60 minutes. Once cooled, sprinkle with powdered sugar.

I baked in a springform pan size 26cm.
