After Christmas I decided to look for something overfeeding, quick and tasty, something, which would also work on New Year's Eve imprezce. It has long caught my eye this recipe and now is a great opportunity to try it. I found it in the book "Baking cakes', was in 'New Year's Eve'. Long sought to explain the name of the web, but unfortunately found nothing. So I leave it to the, sounds like the original, from each other by adding crispy squares. They are delicious, taste like a little chrusty but we make it faster and it is their undoubted advantage. And although deep fried in fat, do not absorb it. Bozener Crostoi

 

Ingredients (Large bowl of squares):

  • 400g of wheat flour
  • 1,5 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 30g butter
  • 50g of sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 125ml of milk
  • 1 a shot of vodka

Additionally:

  • oil for frying
  • powder sugar for sprinkling

To the mixer bowl sift flour with baking powder, add butter, cut into chunks, sugar, salt, eggs, milk and vodka. Knead all the ingredients so, give rise to a smooth dough. Watch a little kleiło so dosypałam 1/4 glass (250ml) of flour.

In a large saucepan or fryer heat up the oil to a temperature of 175 ° C. I do not have a thermometer, So heats the oil and check throwing bread crust – emerges as, this means, that the oil is sufficiently heated.

Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 2 mm thickness, cut squares the size of 3x3cm. Put into the hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides. Ready to draw squares on a paper towel and then still warm sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Ideally taste of hot cocoa:)

I'm doing it and I did not find in the comments of my problem…. They are so swollen, of August do not give rotate… Had I done add too much baking powder?

Bolt is a German name Bolzano, crostoi can be explained as firewood, caddisflies, crispy squares (of Bolzano's).

Bozener I did on several occasions – for different types of events and “on the blues”:):) I love them. The only thing I can say, I prefer to fry them as I have someone to help. They are so short in this oil, that with the help of a second person, which puts them into a saucepan, or pulls it goes far more efficiently;)

Recently occurred to me craving for something sweet and fast at the same time a, I use it often so your rules without thinking I looked here because I was convinced, I'd find something suitable…I was wrong, of course, is not! 😉
I made these boxes with small modifications, namely vodka instead of vinegar and instead gave gave half a cup of milk sour thick cream…came out DELICIOUS! Once fried and crispy were kruchutkie, and that she managed to not eat as much so he covered them with plastic wrap, and on the second day were such as I love the most- soft like a small pączusie-PRIDE!!! 😉

Very cool, fast rule. Great alternative to faworków, that I love. I just wonder why only 1/3 cakes came out correctly or panels, as if the other did not grow, and with them were thin pancakes 🙁

The name means Bolzanskie smazuchy, crostoi in Italian means just smazuchy, something from the outside crispy and fried in deep oil – and Bozener is simply a dialect bolzanskim Bolzanskie (in German).
In fact, this batch is known all over Italy, mostly under the name castaniole, or chestnut, frittelle or puffs, etc., But it depends on the region and from the city. And if I am to be honest – There's nothing like our native Faworki 🙂
