This was a completely unplanned pickaninny. For one small pulse. I was baking cakes for Christmas Eve at my husband work and so I thought, that what a Christmas without gingerbread. Time for a real gingerbread was gone, so I made up, that on the basis of my Pickaninny I'll try to do something, which although is slightly reminiscent of gingerbread. And so they did. And what came out? This is the same you have to see… Let me just say, that is wet, fragrant spice spicy and strong chocolate. This is a nice alternative for those, who do not like the typical gingerbread, or do not have time, that one does not do. I recommend you very much!
Ingredients:
- 1,5 glass of flour (my glass = 250ml - always)
- 1,5 glass of sugar (for some time I add brown sugar)
- 1 vanilla sugar (16g)
- 4 eggs (separate the yolk and the egg white)
- 2 flat teaspoons of baking powder
- 4 tablespoons of good cocoa
- 250g margarine or butter (I gave butter)
- half glass of milk
- 3 tablespoons of honey
- 1 gingerbread spice packaging (20g for me Spices Kamis)
- optional chopped walnuts or almonds
In a saucepan dissolve margarine, add sugars, milk, honey, gingerbread spice and sifted cocoa. Boil all together. To the ready and slightly przestudzonej (but still much warm) add egg mass, flour with baking powder and mix thoroughly. Whip to stiff foam of the four egg white, and gently stir the dough.
Cover the pan with dimensions of 35×12 (upper size) smear grease and sprinkle with breadcrumbs or parchment paper for baking. Pour prepared cake. Bake at 180 ° C for 40-45min, or the so-called. dry stick. After this time, remove and cool.
After cooling, you can pour the sauce.
Glaze:
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
Boil milk with sugar, add margarine and finally sifted cocoa. All components connect to a uniform mass.

Wprawdzie jest już po świętach ale zostało mi jeszcze piernikowych mieszanek przypraw i zastanawiałam się co z nimi zrobić. Zrobiłam tego Murzynka i wyszedł naprawdę pyszny. Ciasto przechowuje się poza lodówką, ale w jakimś chłodniejszym miejscu. Stays fresh, zawiń szczelnie w folię aluminiową i potem wsadź do worka foliowego. Spokojnie ponad tydzień nic mu nie będzie, jeśli tyle przetrwa niezjedzone:)

I do like “gingerbread” converting a recipe for cinnamon babka. Only gingerbread spice give less – ca. 1 tablespoons.
