Buns with sun-dried tomatoes and basil

Ingredients 10 buns:

  • 500g of wheat flour bread (I just do not, So I gave a simple)

  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 350ml of warm water
  • 115g dried tomatoes, finely chopped *
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil with tomatoes
  • handful of basil ( Dried with me)


  • 2 tablespoons milk for brushing rolls

Sift flour into a bowl, make a hole in it, Pour the crushed yeast, Pour a little water and some flour so łyżami, in order to create consistency of thick cream. Allow to stand for 10 minutes, until the yeast will begin to foam. Then add all the remaining ingredients except tomatoes and basil and mix to a smooth dough. At the end of kneading add the chopped tomatoes and basil and combine everything together. Shape into a ball, Cover and let stand at room temperature until double in volume (ok with me 1,5 hours). After this time, remove the dough on pastry board, briefly split to form the 10 equal parts. With each muffin mold. Place buns on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Cover and let stand until puffed up on 20 minut.przed greased baking scones with milk.

Bake at 200 ° C for about 15 – 20 minutes. After this time, remove muffins and cool on a wire rack.

*I got dried tomatoes some time ago from the store. Initially, did not quite know, What can I do besides eat them straight from the jar or use them in salads. It must have been something, What I could share with you. In the end they came up just rolls. Tomatoes them proved perfectly, bułkom give nice taste. As for my opinion on those tomatoes, do not hide, that my hand-made is better:). This does not mean, Those that are not good, where again. Tasty, fleshy, but palpable vinegar and it just bothered me. In sałace – revelation, the sandwich taste good too, but straight from the jar for me too sharp. However, it's very subjective assessment, The taste you can respond.

Buns seems to me they are delicious, but more intrigued by the fact, SAMA doing that dried tomatoes. Can you write as. I do not hide, that my attempts were in vain :(.

hello, has just rolls grow. Pestle bruised dried tomatoes into small, because instead of flakes were lumps. I made a double batch, Smaka caught this after reading the recipe.
Olive tomatoes to what's going on? The oil from dried, flooded with oil? I had, I poured the oil of rosemary (without herbs).
